Curtin Archaeological Consulting, Inc. is a full service cultural resource management firm committed to providing affordable service while guiding our clients through today’s rigorous regulatory climate. Over the past 20 years, our team of archaeologists has performed numerous archaeological surveys in Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Saratoga, Greene, Washington, Warren, Fulton, and Montgomery counties. With extensive experience in the Capital Region and throughout New York State, Curtin Archaeological Consulting, Inc. is qualified according to federal standards (36 CFR 61) to perform both prehistoric and historic period archaeological investigations.

Curtin Archaeological Consulting, Inc. is composed of Principal Investigator Edward V. Curtin, Ph.D., Historian Kerry L. Nelson, M.A., Historical Archaeologist and GIS Coordinator Andrew Farry, Ph.D., Historian Bradley Wilhelm, M.A., Field Director Jonathan Vidulich, and Lab Director Sarah Vidulich, plus a seasonally variable workforce of 8-12.
Our Principal
Edward V. Curtin (President, Chief Archaeologist) received anthropology Masters and Ph.D. degrees from Binghamton University. He has been working in the field of cultural resource archaeology for over 30 years, has served as a review archaeologist at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and has served as both principal investigator in the cultural resources survey program and supervisor of the archaeological collections inventory of the of the New York State Museum. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the New York Archaeological Council and chairs the Governing Council of the Robert E. Funk Memorial Archaeology Foundation.
